DO'S

 

1) Get manicure, pedicures waxing done two days prior to mehndi.

 

2) Wash your hands/feet with soap (not oily soap) and make sure

you do not apply cream or moisturiser.

 

3) Make sure Maaiyyan thread is tied above the area where you want

mehndi done.

 

DON'TS

 

1) Do not use moisturiser before appointment make sure hands are

washed with pure water, and wiped dry.

 

3) Do not apply haldi (turmeric) paste on top of henna design.

 

4) Avoid showering for at least 12 hours after henna has been done.

 

5) Do not wash your hands immediately after scrapping the crust of henna

off the body, you need to avoid water at least 4/6 hours, the longer the better.

 

6) Do not shave your arms/legs after henna is stained because shaving may

scrap off the upper layer of the skin and henna might look faded. 

 

TIPS

 

1) Darker the henna - Lasts longer

 

2) Apply lemon sugar mixture once or twice on henna anything more than

that will make henna spread out of design making it look messy.
